HYDE PARK WINTER WONDERLAND INDEX

WINTER WONDERLAND PREVIEW NIGHT 2016

THE GOOD POINTS

The first obvious good point was the quality of attractions all on offer. I managed to sample 11-12 attractions which for 60 in London price climate was very good considering ride prices varied from 3 to 9 from opening night. All those who paid for the wristbands will no doubt felt quite proud of themselves to having contributed as well as the value for money.

Another plus point was with the site being much easier to negiotate on preview night in comparison to a weekend. The avenues were more comfortable to walk around, you could get served much quicker for conveniences, ride queues were smaller.

There was also a better opportunity to speak to those who are participating in the event, such as the showmen and the staff. Those lucky enough to attend the event had an opportunity to meet the celebrity folk invited to attend the charity night lead by famous names such as pop music guru Simon Cowell.

A special new attraction for the event was the largest transportable Rollercoaster in the World, Rudolf Barth's five-loop coaster named Munich Looping from Germany. This generated quite a lot of interest.

THE NOT SO GOOD POINTS

The first obvious thing would be the price of the wristband. 60 per person is a cost which unfortunately which outprices the average working class family from attending. However you get what you pay for and we are talking London prices.

Another very disappointing factor was the serious lack of disadvantaged adults and children at the opening event as the event is aimed for raising money for charity. Do PWR Events issue free tickets out to local charity groups? Charity events are normally attended by these groups in large numbers from these kind of events especially at similar events operated by members of the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain.
